The forklift collision prevention system detects the proximity of other forklift trucks via high precision UWB technology. When forklifts are closer than the preconfigured thresholds, the system limits the forklifts to a safe speed in 2 stages. Audible and visual signals assist the forklift operators to notice other trucks nearby and act accordingly. The AI-powered edge processing forklift gateways calculate the collision risk approximately in real-time and provide best-in-class safety performance.

The system provides 360 degrees proximity detection, works indoors and outdoors without a need for cellular or WI-FI connectivity. Multiple ranging zones can be defined and configured easily. The system is compatible with all types and brands of forklift trucks, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and Automated Mobile Robots (AMR).




Forklift-Pedestrian
Accident Prevention System

The forklift pedestrian safety system detects the proximity of pedestrians equipped with wearable tags via high precision UWB technology. When pedestrians are closer than the preconfigured thresholds, the system limits the forklifts to a safe speed in two stages. Audible and visual signals assist the forklift operators to notice pedestrians nearby, even in blind spots, and act accordingly. The wearable tags warn pedestrians with a vibration level proportional to their proximity. The system ensures a safe working environment, even for hearing-impaired workers.

The system provides 360 degrees of proximity detection, and works indoors and outdoors without the need for cellular or WI-FI connectivity. Multiple ranging zones can be defined and configured easily. Wearable tags are available in several types, including silicone watch bands, badge holders, and lanyards.

Detailed description

1. Anti-collision between personnel and vehicles

The forklift is equipped with a ranging base station and an acousto-optic alarm. Each personnel wears a ranging tag. When the distance between the personnel and the forklift is less than the alarm distance, the announciator and the tag will give out an alarm at the same time.

2. Anti-collision between vehicles

All forklifts are equipped with ranging base stations and acousto-optic alarms. When the distance between vehicles is less than the alarm distance, the vehicle will give an alarm automatically.

3: Corner anti-collision

Ranging base stations and acousto-optic alarms are installed at the corner of the workshop and on the forklifts. Personnel wears ranging tags, which will automatically give an alarm when the forklift or personnel approaches the corner.

4: Fusion position application
 The system has the function of positioning expansion and is applicable to the UWB positioning system. 
 The system enables the ranging between ranging base stations, and between ranging base stations and ranging tags. It also has high-precision positioning schemes. The system can realize the real-time position positioning of forklifts and personnel and has other functions based on the position information (track playback, electronic fence, video linkage, etc.)
